Sometimes one unexpected moment changes everything. For me, that moment happened while I was filming a TV series in Utah and met a dog I couldn’t forget—Roqui.
A local trainer introduced us to two abandoned white working dogs, Roqui and Lacy. Even though they were skin and bones, their spirit was undeniable. Roqui crawled right up to me, tail wagging, as if we’d known each other forever. I left Utah a week later, but he stayed on my mind for months.
When the trainer finally gained ownership, my friend and I adopted Roqui and Lacy and brought them into our lives. They followed us everywhere—from film sets to mountain trails to busy Los Angeles streets. Roqui quickly became my shadow and my favorite hiking partner.
But there was one constant challenge: his stomach. Roqui is tough as they come, yet his digestion was unbelievably sensitive. I tried every food and treat I could find, and nothing worked long-term. Eventually, necessity pushed me to find a treat gentle enough for his sensitive stomach but with the energy to fuel our adventures. If I could make a treat that worked for Roqui, it could work for the owner looking to make a difference in the own dog’s well being
Six years of testing (and a very patient taste-tester later), we sourced a treat gentle enough for Roqui—yet delicious enough for every dog.
Today, Roqui and I are still exploring LA’s trails, meeting dogs and their humans, and sharing treats that started with one dog who needed something better.
From our journey to yours—welcome to the pack.
